I joined the Faculty of Engineering after getting a high grade in high school. I have always wanted to join the Faculty of Al-Alsun, but my parents had a different opinion!

I spent five years swimming against the tide and regretting that decision. I was in the university with my body while my heart was attached to literature and languages. The moments were passing heavily and gloomily at the university, while I spend my happiest moments between the covers of books and in cultural seminars.

The luster of my superiority faded during my university days, and I only wanted success and obtaining the engineering certificate. I used to spend my days at the university as a stranger or a wayfarer until the lifeline came!

A friend of mine -a famous screenwriter now- told me that the university magazine opened its doors to receive the literary works of students, and since then my short stories have become a regular guest in the magazine's literary section, and one of those stories won the magazine "Ahlam warakya" -literally means: "Paper dreams"- contest in which more than five hundred writers participated from all over the Arab world in 2017, I was also among the winners of the 2018 Ekteb sah" -literally means: "Write it right"- contest for Arabic grammar, grammar and morphology.

I worked as a civil engineer immediately after graduating from college. I had long since lost hope of becoming a translator. I thought it was an exclusive privilege for graduates of the faculties of Al-Alsun and Arts, until I came across an article for a young man who worked as a translator while he did not get a university degree. Since then, I started investigating the matter and probing its depths for months and months until writing saved me once again from the clutches of the harsh conditions of working as an engineer, engulfed in the scorching desert sun, surrounded by deaf concrete columns.

One summer morning, I was surprised by praise comments on one of my stories that I had published on Facebook, and the commenter expressed his admiration for my stories and told me how he would like if I collected my stories in a blog so that he could read it constantly.

Here, we exchanged messages and he asked me about the newspaper or the translation company I work for, I told him that I was and engineer who was self-studying translation. He asked me if I wanted to join his translation company as was exhausted by searching for a translator who loved Arabic and was passionate about it. He sent me a translation test that I passed brilliantly, and hours later I left engineering for good and started my first day working as a translator.

And this is where everything started...
